February is Heart & Stroke Month

The Cathedral Health Ministry will hold Blood Pressure Clinics on Sunday, 22 February, following the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.

Why monitor blood pressure, you might ask?

High blood pressure (hypertension) is a key factor in detecting developing atherosclerosis, which is the main cause of congestive heart failure, cerebral vascular accidents (stroke), and myocardial infarctions (heart attacks). High blood pressure is linked to kidney failure and dementia.

Early detection, healthy lifestyle choices and medication as needed can substantially reduce these risks.

At our Cathedral blood pressure clinics, we can check your blood pressure by either manual or automatic means  -- whatever you prefer.

We're looking forward to seeing you!
