We are thankful for the consistent generosity of our Cathedral community! We are regularly asked what is needed to support our Outreach Program for people in need. This month, we would be pleased to receive: small bottles of instant coffee, cheese strings, snack packs, granola bars, canned fruit, small containers of apple sauce, large boxes of cereal, toilet paper, and towels. Items may be dropped off at the Hall during office hours (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Monday-Friday) or contact the Cathedral Office to make alternate arrangements.
Outreach is held on the last Monday of each month. People in need in #Fredericton are welcome to visit Cathedral Memorial Hall to receive a bag containing fresh fruit, baked goods and snacks, a sandwich, and a $10 grocery store voucher or bus tickets. Visitors may also choose a non-perishable food item and browse tables of complimentary clothing, personal care and household items, all provided through the generosity of our congregation and partner churches. It takes a lot of volunteers to make this happen each month - we appreciate their commitment! ❤ We serve an average of 70-80 people at each event. The next Outreach Program will be held on Monday, May 26, between 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Although Farraline Place could not hold its annual fall fundraising gala dinner due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ongoing work and caring of its residents has not been cancelled. The challenge is ongoing to make a home for low-to-modest income residents, and this particular year is more crucial than previous years.
