Same Service, Different Continent

Today, we went to the church service at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church. It was a bit surreal to go from looking at pictures of this beautiful little church to actually stepping inside it. The service was beautiful. Father David Alenskis was sincere and enthusiastic in his ministry, and his wife Mary Ann had a lovely touch on the organ. Arrived Safe and Sound

Yesterday, we were blessed with a safe and fairly easy trip down to Unionville, Belize where we are staying at the Oasis Mission Centre. Oasis is taking very good care of us. We have been impressed with the 100 homes that they have built for deserving families.

Commissioning Service

On January 21st, Kurt Schmidt led a lovely commissioning service for us, the away team, of the Belize Mission.  As part of the service, the prayer partners, and other members of the congregation laid hands on and prayed over us. Having the congregation and prayer partners pray for us was a very moving experience. Working with the Kids

As Belize mission team members, we are excited about our upcoming adventure next week. We look forward to working with the children on their skills such as reading and math. We also look forward to collaborating with the teachers to learn how they approach different subjects and to see what types of activities they use in class.
