Pandemic Orange Level at the Cathedral – January 2021

Orange Level Recovery

With the announcement on Tuesday, 05 January 2021, New Brunswick is in the Orange Level of the Pandemic Recovery Plan as of midnight. Please refer to the latest revision to the Cathedral Pandemic Operational Plan  (01 December 2020), especially that which pertains to the Orange level, including the following:

  • Worship gatherings are now limited to 50 individuals (not bubbles)
  • Meetings are limited to 25 individuals
  • 2 metres of physical distance between bubbles at all times is required
  • Face masks are mandatory indoors and out at all times

Please note that the New Brunswick Public Health Team has issued further instruction for worship venues. Exception to mask wearing during ceremonies is made for “performers or officiants whose activities require vocalization” while maintaining 4 metres of physical distance between bubbles.

Telephone worship reservations

With current limits of individuals, worship reservations are now needed in real time (not by voicemail). If reserving by telephone, please contact the Cathedral Office (506) 450-8500 during office hours, 9:00 a.m. - 12 Noon Monday to Friday.

Please note that during the Orange Level, we are strongly encouraged to limit contact outside of single household bubbles, especially in confined spaces. Please continue to pray for those who are at risk and those providing care and helping to keep us safe.

  1. Message for Dean Geoffrey:

Greetings Geoff! Thank you for calling my place earlier today. Sorry I missed your call, Mr. Dean, I am grateful for your continuing ministry at the Cathedral. With the realities of COVID, these are extraordinary times, indeed. Lynda and I are grateful for your continuing leadership of the Cathedral congregation during these COVID days. We look forward to everything returning to “normal” before too long. May God continue to bless you and your family and the Cathedral family richly, as we look ahead to a return to normal, under the gracious provision of Christ Jesus our Lord. ✝️
